Four Pounds of Wiggle, Whine and Chomp

Long before Lil and Grace came into our lives, we've been parents to a series of pups, all of whom had their very unique and wonderful personalities. What they've all had in common is the ability to make us smile and laugh on a daily basis.

We knew that once the reno was over we would look for another mini-schnauzer as Lucy has been having a tough time moving about and Bella is desperate for another dog to play and tear around with. And so on May 1 we welcomed Sophie into our family. We had to choose a royal name given the wedding celebrations of last weekend but Katie sounds too much like "kitty" for Bella's liking, so Princess Sophie it is.

This little girl has an impressive set of pipes and according to our construction crew, spends the time while I am at work perfecting her schnauzer yodel. She has a mouthful of sharp baby teeth which regularly sink into our ankles. Lucy's tail and the rosebushes. Sophie is an unstoppable bundle of wiggle and we already know that she is going to be a whole lot of trouble and an even bigger source of fun.

And so we've spent this mother's day introducing Sophie to our crazy, noisy and active lives and she seems to be happy to instigate her share of the chaos.
