Vitamin D

Flip-flops and bathing suits are the attire required this week as we have escaped the winter blues by flying to Orlando once again.
Winter has been tougher than usual this year, and losing the roof and the north wall of our house hasn't helped. The end result is terrific and Grace actually spent a night in her new room before we left, but a break from it all was needed. Annie and Scott have joined us for a week in the sun improving the adult- to- child ratio and reminding us that long evening chats over a bottle of wine with adult company makes a holiday so much more fun.
And then there was the Universal Studio incident. All those "How the Fight Started" jokes could end with the Universal Studio experience during March break. Start with two hour line-ups to get in any attraction, head pounding loud music, two young kids with questionable bladder control, a heat wave and a husband intent on seeing Harry Potter and I began fantasizing about throwing the Schnauzers in the back of the Mom-van and heading for Saskatchewan.
Doubling up on our wine consumption (Grace calls it Momma's medicine) relieved the aches and pains of the day, and we are committed to relaxing by the pool and scalding our bodies for the remainder of the week.
