Stork Alert

Europe, Spain and a Canadian agency is reporting that referrals have been sent out with a cutoff date of March 14th....again. Is this just another episode of false labour, or are we really going to see our child's face soon? This roller coaster ride is so wild, I will need to take Diclectin soon.
I dreamt last night that China had only matched to March 10, but when Tony woke up he said he had a dream that he was lost in the Beijing airport. For those of you that don't know this, Tony has travel nightmares every time we go anywhere...not that we ever have problems when we travel...I don't think. Anyway, I was thinking maternal instinct trumped his crazy travel nightmare, so I didn't even check RQ this morning. Once at work there is a frantic call from my friend Anu...sure enough RQ has posted that referrals for our log-in-date should be in the air.
Our agency insists that the CCAA has not given any indication that there are impending referrals or a set cutoff date. However we have found that RQ 's information is usually on the money so we're allowing ourselves a little optimism and excitement.
This is a much needed improvement over last week, when I lost my mind a little bit, dyed my hair bleach blonde and considered rolling our crib and all baby equipment to the curb to donate it to anyone nuts enough to get involved in parenthood. I think I had a touch of the swine flu. Our dogs also had little insane moments as Lucy ran down the yellow line of our busy street and tangled briefly with a pick-up truck. Bella caught a pigeon and ate it, and Tasha chewed and ate the child lock off the kitchen garbage cupboard. We're all feeling much better now as we breathe into our brown paper bags and try to keep our heartrates under 140. Analgesia anyone?
