Post-Partum News

We arrived home on schedule August 6 with nothing more eventful than some electrical failures in the cabin, and one crazy passenger who refused to sit down for take off. Other than being a bit delayed, and unable to watch TV, recline my seat or control the lighting for 12 hours, the flight was a breeze because it did not involve the fire department.
On arrival at home, Grace took one look at the dogs and the screaming began and continued for several hours despite the dogs hiding from her. The next day she was about as much crabby as you can pack into a pair of pull-ups but we were determined to keep her awake until bedtime...somewhat unsuccessfully. We are on a reasonable sleep schedule now but the first few days were tough.
She and the dogs now have a peace agreement after Tasha was almost demoted from poodle to pug following a punch in the nose from the small but mighty one. They now keep a safe distance, avoid her right hook and kiss her only with permission. Who knew a 19 month old could get this dog house in order so quickly.
For the most part, we have fallen into a comfortable routine and so far we seemed to have escaped the dire predictions that we would lose our minds with two kids. Lil and Grace are bonding nicely, and despite the age differences they seem to find common things to giggle about. So far they haven't ganged up on us, but you know its just a matter of time.

Glad you have made it home safely!
Yes age differences seem to be briged nicely by the desire of our children to have a sibling!
Especially each night when we remove toddler from School girls bed! :)
Take care and know it does take a while!
