August 1: travel to Beijing
We have returned to Beijing and were pretty bagged at the end of the journey. Gracie slept through her first flight without any issues at all. Once again we had a hard landing (not an emergency landing) and Lil's Leapster went flying four seats up with parts flying everywhere. So we had to wait until the plane emptied so we could find all the parts under the seats. I think when this trip is over, I'll take the train.
Initially we thought that Grace was a quiet thoughtful child...we were wrong. She is a party girl. We call her the over-the-shoulder-boulder-thrower because anything she encounters from blocks to noodles gets tossed over the shoulder. She has also discovered how nice it is to be carried and when we put her down, she folds herself in half and cries. She is a little mite, fitting almost into 12 month size clothing. She is definately a good fit.
August 2 we set out for the Great Wall. This will be a bit of a challenge because we have entered the Immodium phase of the journey. I have managed to get through 2 visits to China without having to use a Chinese toilet but today, I may have to give up that distinction. Four more days in China....
Stay on top of things, check email from other accounts! Check it out.
