Looking Back at 2011

As is customary at our house, on the last day of the year we discuss our best and worst events of the previous year. Given that January 1'st 2011 was spent cleaning up water that had poured through our tarp roof during construction, there have been many good days in comparison since. But here is the report from our team now that 2011 is in the rear view mirror:

The Best of Times:
Dad: All the great times I've had to spend with my family. (Ok sounds a little too PC..there must be a but in there somewhere)
Mom: Getting the house done and adopting Sophie (That's 2 but it would be mean to leave Sophie out)
Lily: Going camping with Aunt Cathy and Uncle Jim and going fishing even though there were no fish. (Good one)
Grace: Getting Sophie (that's my girl)

The Worst Times:
Dad: All the rain, so I couldn't golf much forcing me to spend more time with the family (there it is)
Mom: Losing Lucy...still crying about that one
Lily: French verbs (add that to my list)
Grace: Getting Sophie (it is a love-hate relationship)

So thanks 2011...on balance it has been an excellent year...except for golf. We get to live in a home we love, with people and pups that we love, doing what we love to do. 2012 has big shoes to fill.
