Tricks and Treats

Grace celebrated her first Halloween as a flower...another outfit we had to mud wrestle her into. However, once she discovered the sweet treats associated with the foolish attire, her spirit of cooperation improved.
Lil bounded through the neighbourhood as a kangaroo, doing a quick run with Grace, and then a second more serious run bringing home the motherload of chocolate bars and chips. In a house of chocoholics, Halloween is indeed a very scary time of year as we contemplate our future insulin requirements.
The trickery took place when Dad feel asleep in the presence of a wanna-be junior beautician. Of course I promised that I would not post his bad hair day on the blog...
In all, we seem to be getting into a reasonable rythm with Grace now in daycare and Lil well immersed in grade 1. Tony is back to his road running ways sprinting from office to the hospital, putting out fires, catching babies as I try to keep the sanity in our practice. I am having a little more difficulty staying in sync with the world, chronically running a week behind no matter how much pressure I apply to the accelerator of my Mom van...and so our Halloween pictures get posted a little late.
This week we`ve been blessed with Indian Summer and I decided to hell with work, I am going out to pull weeds and cut down bushes, take down the garden, and collect all the shovels and spades to put away before the snow arrives. Ahh there`s nothing like a little rest and relaxation.
