Bug Farm
Since returning from China in August, Grace and I have done the tour of viral illnesses ranging from Parvovirus (yes people get it) to H1N1 and everything in between. And since I can no longer audibly whine about it as I lost my voice yesterday, I am going to blog about the misery. Grace has a good excuse of course - she is encountering all types of new and exciting Canadian bugs. I don't think that her little nose was quite prepared for the productivity required by a Canadian virus. But you would think that after working in health care for 33 years, many of them in the ER, I would be immune to damn near anything. Not so, it would seem.
However, the asthmatic smoker in the house (not mentioning names)has not had a single symptom and Lil, who actually did have every virus in the Merkk Manual the first year in daycare, has been entirely well.
To add to the insult, Lucy dog has developed a head tilt from an inner ear problem. This means that she walks with her body at a 80 degree angle and her head at a 60 degree angle. Looking at her makes me nauseated and her sea sick. It aint pretty people.
Green is no longer my favorite colour.
